George Cargill is a fourth-generation pastor, preacher, church history teacher, and Bible instructor. He pastored at churches in Missouri, Iowa, and Oklahoma before retiring. During his career, he developed a great curiosity about the history and culture of Israel, the apostolic church and the first century Roman Empire in general. George’s reading, research, and quest for answers, led to his first book, “In the Grip of God.” George found his author’s voice after retiring from pastoring. He was born in Oklahoma, but put his roots down in Missouri near St Louis where he lives with Jo, his wife of fifty years. In 2011, he founded Following the Book Ministries, a non-profit international ministry for advancing biblical knowledge and the redeeming message of Jesus Christ.
